In previous anno games there was a way to tell the game to load extacted files from disk instead of loading themįrom the RDA container.
ANNO 1800 MODS NEXUS MOD
For an example zoom extend mod see the examples directory. Mods will be loaded alphabetically from C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Anno 1800\mods assuming default Uplay path.Ī short tutorial for mod creation with the mod loader is given below. You probably also need the VS 2019 Redist You will be asked to overwrite python35.dll, just accept that. Uplay default path is C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Anno 1800\Bin\Win64 Unzip the contents to the location where Anno1800.exe is Head over to the releases page and download the loader.zip from the latest release.
ANNO 1800 MODS NEXUS INSTALL
Short shitty video to show how easy it is to install the loader. This changes the games XML files using XPath, this makes it easy and possible to only have the changes in a mod that you absolutely need instead of handling megabytes of XML files.

Less likely to break after updates (in general a mod should continue to work after every update, YMMV). I don't like the 1800's.The one and only mod loader for Anno 1800, supports loading of unpacked RDA files, XML auto merging and DLL based mods. The Nexus has several mods available for Anno 1800.Īnd lets go back to the future. I don't think any Anno games supported making our own maps.Īlthough, I really would like to see a new Anno game that supports editing and creating maps.Īnd although not officially supported I think all Anno games can be modded as far as the buildings and vehicles are concerned. SimCity 2013 had the same problem (no way to create new maps like with previous versions of SimCity), which pretty much ended the entire SimCity franchise for Electronic Arts. User-created items could then be saved and shared with other users.Īs the game is now, it's basically a dead end for the series in the future setting, especially without the ability to add or generate new maps to the game for continued replayability. This could be done entirely in-game, with the ability to create custom maps, custom buildings, and custom vehicles.
ANNO 1800 MODS NEXUS FULL
I hope that Anno 2300 will have full support for user-generated content. With that said, please feel free to discuss.

What we don't condone is piracy or cheating that will affect other players. Please note, if anything goes wrong with your games whilst mods are downloaded, we will be unable to troubleshoot this with you, until you have fully uninstalled the mods on your computer. Whilst we have no official mods you can use for the game, it is ultimately up to the player if they wish to use mods to enhance their game in different ways. The use of mods in Anno has been brought up to the dev team before and you can see our post on this here, in our most recent Anno 1800 FAQ section, if you scroll down to the secopnd post.
